GDES221- Typography 1
An introduction to typography as both language and tool, one through which a graphic designer can communicate visual hierarchy, verbal information, form, and meaning. This course explores type design, the study of letterforms, an introduction to the historical and modern development of the alphabet, and the study of grid structures.
EXPRESSIVE WORDS

For this project, I was asked to express the meaning of a word with visuals. I chose the word 'broken', which I decided to portray using broken glass to reflect the meaning of the word.
TYPE SPECIMEN

For this project, I was asked to create a Type Specimen Poster and that is something a designer creates to help them pick a font for a project. It also helps us study the variations of the typeface and its complete character set, history, and anatomy.
